I'm sure that a decision made somewhere in Italy had something to do with that.
Posted 22:11 (#2693 - in reply to #2677) Subject: RE: End of the genesis engine 2007 They could have done like Navistar did with the old DT466 and make a 4-valve, common fuel rail genesis by just redisigning the head and piston crowns. So by dropping a 330HP capable 7.5L they are going to have a large HP gap with the choice of the 240HP capable 6.7L NEF/EEA engine and the 8.3 Cummins or 8.7L Cursor.
Instead they are going to focus on IVECO design engines for all future machines. It official, in CNH's ultimate wisdom they are shutting down the assembly lines for genesis engines and all old Ford block and head assemblies. Posted 21:28 (#2677) Subject: End of the genesis engine 2007
